A true management gem!
I appreciated so many things about Jon's book. First, it was written in a way that I could take bite-sized tips based on what I needed. It's really well laid out to allow you to dip in and out when you need some motivation, wisdom or inspiration.

I recently completed the book, The Amazing Link, How Managers Can Get Great Results From Good Ideas by Jon Dario. It was an easy read and was relatable to any front-line manager. Most of the book was divided into four categories for key management behaviors including communication, motivation, follow-up and growing talent.
Jon Dario has organized a great deal of experience,
insight and tools into this easy to read and well organized book. The book is formatted in such a way that you can easily dive into it and pick up right where you left off without missing a beat. The narrative Jon provides gives valuable information in an easily digestible way.
A must read for anyone in retail.

I really enjoyed Jon Dario's organization and prioritization of his management concepts. I was a retail manager for a number of years and wished I had this book when I first started out. He takes 'learning from hard knocks' out of many of the trials and tribulations that retail managers go through. The easy to read and logical organization of this book make it a great resource for any manager, or anyone who wants to become a manager.

I hope this book finds its way to many other retail managers. It truly is a guide to effective management. No unnecessary fluff.
